MOM

The sirens of the ambulance were heard;
It was loud- deafening
A woman was in there, struggling to keep alive;
So that she could bring you to this world
She carried you for nine months;
Felt excited when you kicked
Can’t wait for the day she’ll see you smile
Praying to God you’ll be born healthy and not to be sick
You grow instantly
You’re in the age now where pain, confusion, stress, temptation were present
You wanna get that love of a boy so bad
Yet you don’t know how to handle that lad
Mom’s yearning for your wings to be flaunt
So that you can fly so high
For she desires to see her one and only princess reaching her dreams till the sky
She reprimanded you- not to rush things
You tend to ignore her advice
Saying, you know what you’re doing and all she’s telling were lies;
Did you see the tears in her eyes?
She won’t allow you to get hurt, not in her watch- never
All she wanted was for you to be happy, to be by your side in all times
But her time is fleeting;
Yet no one noticed that it’s happening
Years had passed, thankfully all her her sacrifices paid off
You passed college, got a degree and a stable work
Wearing a ring- you’re getting married!
To the one that God allowed to be with you forever
There, mom’s happy- very happy
She maid her little princess into a lady that was once been stubborn,
Into a woman, who now understands everything about life
And now to be a queen, who has a golden crown with all the things her mother had taught her
A golden-crowned-queen who’s not a royalty, but a queen who can be like her mother when it comes to raising a family.
